Day after day I read blog posts with stash reports or blogs that have photos of all that yummy goodness just piled up. I have to admit I get that twang of jealousy each time because I honestly don't have a "stash". For the most part, any fabric I purchased had a purpose. I didn't buy fabric just to buy it. I know. Terrible huh? Lol!
Up until recently, I didn't even really have a scrap bin. I am now proud to say I have my very own scrap bin and it makes me smile each time I see it, because I know that some day that bucket will be overwhelmingly heaping full and I will be able to make one heck of a scrappy quilt with it! Oh, if anyone has any scraps they no longer want, please feel free to donate to me...LOL!
I am also pleased to say that I am starting my own little stash. Yayyy!!!
I purchased this lovely stack of Riley Blake Bloom & Grow! Isn't she gorgeous?! I have no plans for her which is so odd for me. I feel like I have to hurry up and find a purpose for her so she doesn't feel bad just sitting there. Oh, but isn't she just pretty? I think I will just muse over her for a while... :)
These came in the mail with her. No plans for them either. I just love them. :)
I MUST toot a horn for Leah over at Burgundy Buttons!! I love her shoppe!! She is so friendly and carries all the yummies and let me tell you she is fast in shipping!! This is where these yummies came from today! :) Go give her a visit, you will be glad you did!
One more thing to share with you. It's a sneak peek....I know...I know...I might get noodle lashed for another sneek peek....but it's all I can show you right now. Keep checking back and I'll reveal it later. :)
Much Love!!!
Ooh I am in love with all of the pretties!! I just got my first sewing machine in Feb for Valentine's Day so i don't have a stash yet but I am working on it too. I got a few different ones in today and a few more coming. I can't wait to be able to make a scrap quilt either!
ReplyDeleteYour a Bugger! Sneek Peaks are naughty.......
ReplyDeleteI need more hints!
I have just had the Big Sister of Tweet Tweet arrive, I Love,Love,Love it!
I completely understand. I have had a stash for several years now, I am starting to believe that I am addicted to fabric. I recently had a ping of jealousy when I saw some beautiful salvage quilts on a blog...to think all these years I was throwing these away, and here they are in beautiful quilts...so now, anyone want to send me their salvages? LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about spring that makes us want to buy more fabric? I'm having the same problem these days... I hit a good sale at Joann's the other day, and my husband looked at me, sighed, and said, "Well, good - we didn't have any fabric around here - we needed those!!" Your pieces are lovely, and I know you'll find a great use for them someday!
ReplyDeleteI love that shop too! she is so super fast!!
ReplyDeleteLove all your mail and I love to just sit and look sometimes. My fabric talks to me.hah.ah.ah..a.
First things first: no stash here either, congrats on your new additions! They're so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSecond: 20 lashes with that wet noodle! I hope you share your secrets soon :)
I'm gonna say that mystery jelly roll is Fandango by Kate Spain?? I ADORE that line and can't wait for it to hit the stores! As for stash I have some, not a lot but it's not really stuff I'd pull out for a quilt, it's more for baby gifts and such.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh what is it?
ReplyDeleteI just got some Bloom and Grow also I love it and have no plans for it at the moment. I am like you and usually use it up as fast as I get it but this summer I have tried to slow down a little and build my stash since I really dont have one.
Yeah...I'm with Audrey...I think it's FANDANGO!! Lucky duck :)
ReplyDeleteThat is funny. I was just thinking that I used to be like that and now I am not, and I have this huge stash with projects getting out. of. control. I want to go back to just getting stuff that I need. Haha.
