Double Trouble

I was working on a quilt tonight and as always, the kitties like to help. Their favourite spot is right on my ironing board which sits by a window. The birds and chipmunks like to tease them... :)

They were just too cute sitting there so I snapped a few shots. Sunny is in the back and Odyssey is in the front with the "don't even think about moving me" look on her face...lol!

Odyssey wanted to help a little bit more by offering up a sneak peek of the quilt I was working on. She told me not to share too much though. :)

I hope you like what you see so far, because I will be doing a tutorial on it soon! My goal is sometime next week! Keep your eyes peeled!

So, what have you all been working on? I'd love to see!

Much Love!!!

  1. Well, you've seen what I'm currently working on - and it's getting better thanks to your input. Did you see my owl quilt (I'm calling it Even Owls Blush) on my blog last Monday? I love the way it came out.... I also love your gorgeous orange cats - they look like such sweet babies!!

  2. I am so glad your kitties are as helpful as mine, I live in fear of a singed whisker from the iron. They love getting on the quilts, whether they are finished, in progress or even still a stack of fabric. I have found one of them curled up on a quilt I had left on the machine. And being Burmese they are very vocal about being shifted !
Lots on the go,quilt for a niece, quilt for my daughter, a quilt for my son and trying to make some stuff for a school fete but inspiration is lacking !!

  4. Steiger loves this post. He got very excited, and kept saying "kitties! kitties! kitties!" and pointing a lot. And trying to put his gooey fingers all over the monitor. :)

  5. Bodie, my orange kitty, is my assistant too. He also has an affinity for the ironing board. Must be an orange kitty thing. :)

  6. My next project is a quilt for my daughter using your pattern - Blueberry Chocolate Squares spied on Moda Bakeshop. Except that I'm switching fresh greens for the blues - maybe I'll call it Mint Chocolate Squares - and also enlarging it to twin size (4 x 5 blocks). I'll try to e-mail a photo when it's done (which will be months). Wish me luck - it'll be my first major quilting project!

  11. They are so adorable and end lovely posture! I am teaching myself to hand quilt and as soon as the hoop appears my cat has to sit on it so my tension is always tested and she chases the needle as it comes through the fabric. The quilt top is black and white. As she is all white the quilt top is now black, white and white.

  12. What cute company. Are they a specific breed? My cat loves to come and oversee my quilting from the top of the shelving unit in my sewing room.

I am currently working on a quilt for my 5 year ol daughter to go with her newly painted lavender room.
